The second official trailer for "Fear Street: Prom Queen," the fourth installment in the "Fear Street" series adapted from another R.L. Stine book series (the author of "Goosebumps"), dropped tonight, revealing a more complete plot synopsis. The film is set to premiere on Netflix on May 23rd, aiming to reignite the viewing frenzy that surrounded the original trilogy's staggered release in the summer of 2021.

"Prom Queen" is set in 1988, as Shadyside High School prepares for its prom season. Several popular female students are, as usual, engaged in a series of rivalries to be crowned Prom Queen. However, when a brave outsider is unexpectedly nominated for queen, and other competing girls mysteriously begin to disappear, the graduating class's long-awaited prom night quickly devolves into a hellish nightmare.
New cast members joining this installment include Ella Rubin, Lili Taylor, Katherine Waterston, and Ariana Greenblatt.
