BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, renowned for its comprehensive lineup of Gunpla that faithfully recreates anime designs, has announced the latest product from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX: the "HG 1/144 Gelgoog Bokota's Custom (GQ)", slated for release on May 3, 2025.
The gMS-01 Gelgoog Bokota's Custom (GQ) is a standard mass-produced mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon Army based on Gundam data, boasting excellent versatility. This unit is piloted by former Earth Federation Forces pilot Bokota, and its paint scheme has been specially altered to a light gray, green, and white, reminiscent of a GM, for participation in the "Battle Group Showdown."
The "HG 1/144 Gelgoog Bokota's Custom (GQ)" is designed using Bandai's most advanced color separation and part division technology. With multi-color molded parts in light gray, dark green, blue, red, dark gray, and more, it extensively reproduces the design created by designer Ikuto Yamashita from the series. Complex designs such as the hollowed-out exterior armor and legs with integrated fuel tanks are also thoroughly recreated.
The model also features high-density detail sculpting and an outstanding articulated joint design. The torso, limbs, and the pair of thrusters on the backpack all possess a wide range of motion, allowing for the recreation of highly dynamic battle poses from the show. Accessories include a Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, and metal wire parts to recreate the left arm grapple.
