Japanese company CyberZ announced that the latest PVC pre-painted scale figure product from the anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica", "Madoka Kaname", is scheduled for release in May 2026.
The protagonist, Madoka Kaname, is a petite, somewhat lacking in self-confidence, yet extremely kind-hearted and resilient girl. She became a Magical Girl with the wish to help others. After befriending the transfer student Homura Akemi, she became her Magical Girl senior and closest friend, only to die in battle during the arrival of "Walpurgisnacht". Even though Homura repeatedly manipulated time to return to the past and prevent Madoka from becoming a Magical Girl, it only led to the same recurring outcome, and even caused Madoka's "potential" as a Magical Girl to grow stronger. Ultimately, Madoka, learning everything, chose to sacrifice herself, using this power to become the "Law of Cycles" that eradicates all Witches, allowing Magical Girls who were about to become Witches to find salvation.
Released to commemorate the 15th anniversary of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica's" broadcast, the "Madoka Kaname 1/7 Scale Figure" was sculpted by Design COCO. It features an original pose depicting Madoka drawing her bow and arrow, confronting fate. The entire Magical Girl outfit meticulously recreates the numerous ruffled designs, and combined with her flowing hair and skirt, gives the piece a dynamic feel.
The most distinctive feature of this product is that the "Soul Gem", the source of Magical Girls' power and linked to their lives in the series, is designed as a large base for the figure itself. It boasts an impressive height of approximately 36 cm, and through intricate sculpting and color application, it expresses detailed carvings and metallic textures. Combined with the magnificent pink special effects representing her magic, it depicts the scene of Madoka breaking free from the Soul Gem's cage and bravely fighting against fate.
