World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys recently unveiled a new product based on the Star Wars spin-off series "Andor" – the "Range Trooper" 1/6th scale collectible figure. The suggested retail price is US$275, with the estimated shipping date to be announced!
Range Troopers are a specialized unit stationed in the harsh, cold environments of the Galactic Empire's frontier. Their helmet design is similar to that of Imperial Combat Assault Tank Drivers and Coastal Defense Stormtroopers. They first appeared in the film "Solo: A Star Wars Story," where their scene of attacking from a vehicle with magnetic boots was quite impressive. In the opening sequence of the first episode of "Andor" Season 2, their brief appearance, attacking new-model starfighters, exuded a powerful sense of oppression!
This 1/6th scale Range Trooper collectible figure stands approximately 32 cm tall and adopts the appearance seen in the first episode of "Andor" Season 2. The armor and helmet details are meticulously sculpted, and exquisite weathering effects are applied to showcase their battle-worn appearance. Their iconic fur and trousers are recreated using composite fabric materials, and even the heavy texture of the gloves is realistically reproduced!
Accessories include a blaster rifle, a rocket launcher, and a display base. The first release will also include a limited bonus pair of magnetic boots, allowing collectors to recreate the scene of them attacking from a train!
