The popular character cat-ification series "MEGA CAT PROJECT" from Japanese model maker MEGAHOUSE has announced its latest product based on "My Hero Academia": "MEGA CAT PROJECT My Hero Academia Cat Hero Academia NO.01", with a reference price of 900 JPY each, scheduled for release in October 2025.
"MEGA CAT PROJECT" is an original figure series that combines popular characters from anime and manga with adorable cat images. Designed in collaboration with illustrator TAMPOPO, who excels at drawing chibi characters and cartoon-style cats, the series integrates character features into cat fur patterns, cultivating a unique and fun feline world!
The "MEGA CAT PROJECT My Hero Academia Cat Hero Academia NO.01" figures are approximately 3 cm tall. The first wave includes eight cat-ified characters: Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Shota Aizawa, Present Mic, Endeavor, Hawks, Mirko, and Dabi. While imbuing them with the round, adorable appearance of cats, the unique style of each character is expressed through different fur colors, breeds, and costume designs~ Mirko, whose rabbit ears have become cat ears, even has a clipped ear (was she spayed!?)... and a furious, bristling Dabi is also super cute! Each figure comes with a character card, and a second wave is currently under development!
