Taiwanese director Tom Lin, known for his Golden Horse Award-winning films such as "Winds of September," "The Garden of Evening Mists," and "Zinnia Flower," is set to release his highly anticipated Hollywood English-language debut, "Worth The Wait," this month. The first trailer and key art (pictured below) have just been unveiled. While a Taiwan release has not yet been announced, the film will bypass North American theaters, premiering exclusively on the streaming platform Tubi on May 23. This marks Tubi's first original film with an Asian-American theme.

"Worth The Wait" boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Lana Condor, Andrew Koji (known for his role as Storm Shadow in "Snake Eyes"), Élodie Yung (Elektra in "Daredevil"), Sung Kang (Han from the "Fast & Furious" franchise), Ross Butler, and Golden Horse Best Actress Karena Lam, who previously collaborated with Lin on "Zinnia Flower" (also known as "Hundred Days").
The film weaves together multiple storylines, exploring various romantic relationships. These narratives include a couple navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship, a husband and wife coping with the profound grief of a stillbirth, an actress who must come to terms with her ex-fiancé directing her new film, and an uncle learning to adapt as his niece, whom he raised, enters adolescence.
