Japanese model manufacturer X-PLUS has announced the latest product from the tokusatsu film "Gamera 2: Attack of Legion," the "Legion 1/700 Scale Assembly Model," slated for release in September 2025. This product will be simultaneously available in a standard edition and a "Shonen RIC" official store exclusive edition.

The formidable enemy Legion, which confronted Gamera in the film, is a "silicon-based mechanical lifeform" that descended to Earth with a meteorite. Its appearance resembles terrestrial arthropods. Its carapace can reflect electromagnetic waves, and its joints utilize high-pressure oxygen for movement, possessing powerful reproductive capabilities. General individuals are about 1 to 2 meters tall, while the mother Legion reaches an impressive length of 160 meters. Its head features 10 sharp interference wave claws that can emit various electromagnetic waves, nullifying Gamera's fireballs. It can also spread the large horns on either side of its mouth to converge microwaves and unleash a powerful beam.

The "Legion 1/700 Scale Assembly Model" kit is made from HIPS plastic. Once assembled, it boasts an impressive size of 20 cm in height and 29 cm in length. Its intricate sculpting faithfully reproduces the head with its ten interference wave claws, the highly organic textures of its full-body carapace, and its powerful giant feet that support its massive form. The eyes and abdominal ovipositor are also rendered with clear parts.

The limited edition, sold exclusively on the official "Shonen RIC" store, includes additional interchangeable head parts, allowing for the recreation of Legion's mouth with its pair of large horns spread open and its eyes in an enraged state.
