Following their "Wolverine" release, renowned poster design and toy company MONDO has once again unveiled a new product based on the classic X-Men animated series, "X-Men: The Animated Series," and its sequel, "X-Men '97" – the "Nightcrawler" 1/6 scale collectible figure. Priced at USD 245, pre-orders will open on the MONDO Shop official website at 11 AM CT on May 13, 2025, with an estimated release in December 2025!
Nightcrawler first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1, published in 1975. His real name is Kurt Wagner, a fictional human mutant subspecies with the ability of teleportation. In the early 2000s, it was revealed that he was the illegitimate son of Azazel and Mystique. Later, in 2023, it was disclosed that he was actually the child of Mystique (who had transformed into a male) and her wife, Destiny.
This Nightcrawler 1/6 scale collectible figure stands 10.75 inches (approximately 27.3 cm) tall and features Nightcrawler's design from X-Men '97. The sculpting showcases his lean musculature and iconic three-fingered hands and feet. His long blue tail has an internal wire for free posing, and the figure is painted with a flat coloring technique to highlight the blue accents on his body and the shadows on his chest, faithfully recreating the animated series' flat aesthetic!
Accessories include four interchangeable head sculpts, four sets of interchangeable hands, a sword-wielding tail, a BAMF doll for his girlfriend Amanda Sefton, one long sword, two rapiers, and "BAMF" effect parts to simulate his teleportation, allowing for various dynamic poses from the show!
