According to an exclusive report from Deadline today, Madonna is developing a biographical limited series with Netflix. Shawn Levy, the acclaimed director behind "Deadpool & Wolverine" and the "Night at the Museum" trilogy, is set to executive produce alongside Madonna.
Sources indicate that Levy and Madonna have been discussing this venture for some time. They have now decided to re-conceptualize the project from the ground up, and the specific period of Madonna's life it will focus on has not yet been determined. Deadline also emphasized that this Netflix series is a separate endeavor from the Universal Pictures biopic Madonna was previously slated to direct, and Julia Garner, who was cast to play Madonna in that film, remains attached to the Universal project.
