Danish toy company LEGO has officially announced its annual staple product, the Advent Calendar, which allows you to open a new surprise each day in December leading up to Christmas. The latest release, themed after the video game "Minecraft" and numbered 21280, is the "Minecraft 2025 Advent Calendar"! It is scheduled for release on September 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$44.99.
LEGO Advent Calendars are special products where the packaging box is divided into small compartments. Each day, you open the numbered compartment corresponding to the date to receive a minifigure or a brick-built mini-model. Typically, the main featured character of the set is placed in compartment 24. In addition to LEGO's own City series, there are also versions based on classic franchises such as MARVEL, Star Wars, and Disney.
This Minecraft Advent Calendar uses a total of 300 pieces, and its minifigure lineup alone is highly anticipated. It includes the popular character Alex wearing a green Creeper "ugly sweater," Steve with a diamond helmet, a Creeper, a Drowned holding a trident, a Stray equipped with diamond armor, a Snow Golem, a Zombie holding an axe, and a Santa Villager. The brick-built mini-models feature classic in-game elements such as a furnace, sweet berry bush, single sofa, gift, and the Warden. Incorporate these items into your Minecraft scenes to create a warm and charming winter village!
