The first spin-off series in the "Alien" franchise, "Alien: Earth," helmed by "Legion" and "Fargo" (TV series) showrunner Noah Hawley, today unveiled the first look photos of its main cast. This includes Timothy Olyphant as the white-haired synthetic "Kirsh" and Sydney Chandler (pictured below) as the hybrid android "Wendy," both making their debut appearance.

Set in 2120, two years before the events of the first "Alien" film, "Earth" depicts a planet ruled by five corporate conglomerates: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. In this era, cyborgs (humans with biological cells and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) coexist with humans. However, the game changes when Prodigy's founder and CEO initiates a groundbreaking technological leap, creating a new type of hybrid android—humanoid robots infused with human consciousness.
The first prototype hybrid android, named "Wendy," represents a new dawn in the race for immortality. After a Weyland-Yutani spaceship crashes into Prodigy's urban base, Wendy and her hybrid android companions encounter the Xenomorphs carried aboard the vessel.

Additionally, the official announcement confirmed that "Alien: Earth" will premiere on August 12 this year. In the U.S., it will air on the FX channel and stream on Hulu. The first season will consist of eight episodes, with new episodes released weekly on Tuesdays. The series follows a mysterious research vessel, the Machino, as it crashes on Earth. Wendy and a squad of tactical soldiers are tasked with investigating the wreckage, making a significant discovery that forces them to confront the most terrifying threat Earth has ever faced.
