BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan, which issues the 1/100 scale Gundam plastic model『MG（Master Grade）』series known for its excellent part separation, internal frame structure, and rich articulation, today unveiled for the first time at the '63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show' the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans', the prototype of「MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus」. The product is scheduled for release in November 2025.
TheASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupusis the new form of Gundam Barbatos, refurbished by Tekkadan after the fierce battle with Gjallarhorn in Edmonton. With technical support from Teiwaz, significant internal and external adjustments were made, incorporating multiple curved armor plates to reduce impact from hits and lighten the frame for improved mobility. For the "Alaya-Vijnana System", further analysis and adjustments were made based on past combat data to allow Mikazuki to achieve an even greater man-machine synchronization, thereby enhancing overall performance. In addition to the close-combat Sword Mace and Small Mace, its armaments can also be augmented with 200mm cannons and rocket launchers on both arms.
The「MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus」is produced using an upgraded "Gundam Frame" part, newly recreating the Barbatos Lupus's more robust armor design, the red shoulder armor bearing the Tekkadan emblem, and armaments such as the Sword Mace, Small Mace, and wrist-mounted 200mm cannon.
Furthermore, Bandai is also planning a "dedicated expansion parts" product, which is expected to include expansion parts such as lightning-shaped "eye glowing effects" and "Helm-Wige Reincar's Greatsword", allowing for the recreation of Gundam Barbatos Lupus's incredibly cool appearance when facing off against the massive Mobile Armor "Hashmal".
