Director David O. Russell, known for "Joy," has reunited with frequent collaborator Christian Bale for their fourth project, the upcoming biopic "Madden." The film officially began production this Tuesday, and Amazon MGM Studios has now unveiled the first-look photos, showcasing Bale and co-star Nicolas Cage in character.

"Madden" chronicles the life of legendary American football coach John Madden, focusing primarily on his enduring friendship with fellow coaching icon Al Davis. The narrative explores Madden's illustrious career trajectory, from player to coach and eventually a celebrated sports commentator. Davis, the long-time owner of the Oakland Raiders for 39 years, initially hired Madden as the team's linebacker coach in 1967 before promoting him to head coach in 1969. Cage portrays Madden, while Bale takes on the role of Davis.
