Japanese model company Kaiyodo (KAIYODO) recently announced an updated version of the previously released Marvel Comics character "Cable" from their popular articulated figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI". This "Cable Ver.1.5" has a suggested retail price of 13,000 JPY and is expected to be released in April 2026!
Cable is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey. As a child, he was infected with the "Techno-Organic Virus" due to Apocalypse's machinations. Cyclops, with a heavy heart, was forced to send him to the distant future for treatment, where he was trained to become a brave and formidable warrior. Cable possesses telepathy and telekinesis. Although his abilities are limited by the Techno-Organic Virus, it also grants him enhanced strength and durability.
The AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Cable Ver.1.5, like its previous 1.0 version, faithfully recreates the exaggerated muscular physique, along with details such as the glowing effect in his left eye and his mechanized left arm, affected by the techno-organic virus. This update builds upon the previous version by including new accessories: a psionic shield that can be displayed with an independent stand, an optical blast effect for his left eye, new weapons including a large blade, a dagger, and a pistol that can combine with the dagger's sheath function. Furthermore, pre-orders through direct channels will receive an additional shouting face part, allowing for even more dynamic poses when combined with the new weapons!
