Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA), a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product in its beautiful girl plastic model kit series, 'ARCANADEA,' which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements, 'Meltina,' is scheduled for release in October 2025.
The beast-humanoid DEARS character, 'Meltina,' is a new snake girl designed by Japanese manga artist Z-TON. She possesses an optimistic, cheerful, and approachable personality, aiming to showcase her unique charm by not conforming and openly expressing her emotions. Once she finds something interesting, she fully unleashes her desires. She has a very good relationship with Lumitea, and if Lumitea talks to other DEARS, Meltina becomes so jealous that she loses her composure.
'Arcanadea Meltina' utilizes entirely new parts to recreate her voluptuous and fiery humanoid upper body, her snake-like lower body adorned with pink scales, and her desert-tribal-inspired attire featuring gold ornaments inlaid with jewels. When assembled, her total length surpasses that of typical DEARS characters. Her lower body features nearly 20 articulated segments, with each part connected by a ball joint, allowing for flexible twisting in all directions and the ability to coil around objects. If multiple 'Meltina' kits are acquired, her snake tail can be extended indefinitely.
By combining her with weapon accessories, Meltina can transform from her normal mode into her armed mode. Interchangeable parts like the bat-shaped familiar and hair ornaments form her distinctive upper body silhouette. Her main weapon, the cobra staff, can be recreated in both staff and whip forms through interchangeable parts. Her sub-weapon consists of two daggers whose blades can transform to form a double-bladed sword. Furthermore, the cobra whip's jaw features an articulation mechanism, allowing it to grip the daggers or the bat-shaped familiar.
Accessories include four pre-painted face parts, six pairs of newly molded PVC hand parts for replacement, and two sets of dedicated stands for Meltina herself and her bat-shaped familiar. Additionally, a set of 'water-slide decal face stickers' for use with unpainted face parts and head adapter parts for Frame Arms Girl/Megami Device are included.
