The second official trailer for "Jurassic World: Rebirth," the seventh installment in the Jurassic franchise, has been unleashed. Helmed by Gareth Edwards, director of 2014's "Godzilla," the film also debuted a series of new posters for various premium theatrical formats (see below). Universal Pictures has also officially announced that ticket pre-sales are now open in North America.
David Koepp, the screenwriter for the original "Jurassic Park" and its sequel, returns to pen the script, with Steven Spielberg reprising his role as executive producer. The film's cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Jonathan Bailey, Ed Skrein, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. "Jurassic World: Rebirth" is scheduled to hit North American theaters on July 2.

The official synopsis reads: Five years after the events of "Jurassic World: Dominion," much of Earth's ecosystem has proven inhospitable for dinosaurs. The surviving creatures are confined to isolated environments near the equator, where the climate mirrors the conditions in which they once thrived. Within this tropical biosphere, three of the largest dinosaurs hold a key component for a miraculous, life-extending drug for humanity.
Zora Bennett, a highly skilled undercover operative, is hired to lead an elite team on a top-secret mission to retrieve genetic material from these three colossal dinosaurs. However, when Zora and her team encounter a civilian family on an aquatic expedition whose boat is capsized by predatory aquatic dinosaurs, they all become stranded on an island. There, they uncover a shocking and sinister secret that has been hidden for decades.
