Finnish game developer Supercell's massively popular titles "Clash of Clans" and "Clash Royale" are officially heading to Netflix. The streaming giant announced via a press release on its official website that it is developing an animated series based on both games. The show will center on a determined yet outmatched Barbarian who must assemble a motley crew of misfits to defend their village and navigate the absurd politics of war.
Netflix has tapped Fletcher Moules, who previously directed the streamer's animated feature "Entergalactic" and several episodes of "Agent Elvis," to serve as showrunner for the new series. The project is currently in pre-production. Moules is no stranger to the "Clash of Clans" universe; a decade ago, he directed a "Clash of Clans" commercial for Supercell (see link above) that famously starred action icon Liam Neeson.
