Tarlin International Co., Ltd., known for releasing numerous popular capsule toys, has once again launched a very interesting product—the "Dry Cell Dachshund" (乾電池ダックス). The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per capsule, with an estimated release in May 2025!
The "Dry Cell Dachshund" takes inspiration from the dachshund's iconic short legs and long body, splitting the dog into two halves. You can attach the head and tail sections to AAA batteries, making the dog's body longer! A total of four variations are available: Chocolate & Cream, Black & Tan, Reddish Brown, and Cream. Each dog holds a battery-operated product in its mouth: an alarm clock, a remote control, a flashlight, and a radio, respectively. The items in their mouths are removable, and their tails are articulated. Although the concept is simple, there are many different ways to play with them. Whether you extend their bodies with dry cell batteries or display them in their short form with the included parts, they are super cute!
