Kotobukiya, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product in its popular mecha girl plastic model series, "Megami Device," the "PUNI☆MOFU Snow Rabbit," is scheduled for release in October 2025.
The mecha, "PUNI☆MOFU Snow Rabbit," designed by Japanese illustrator BLADE, is a variant color version of the "PUNI☆MOFU Rabbit," featuring a new snow-white color scheme expressed through white, indigo, and clear blue. The unit also utilizes the compact "Machineca Block2-S" posable body, with armor designs incorporating numerous rabbit elements. Its main weapon, the "Super Snow Rabbit Sword," can not only be used as dual swords but also equipped on the backpack or both palms for gliding capabilities, or attached to a long pole to switch to "Flap Ice Lance" mode. While seemingly delicate and harmless, it is a highly threatening goddess specialized in ultra-close combat.
The "Megami Device PUNI☆MOFU Snow Rabbit" is a modified kit based on the "PUNI☆MOFU Rabbit," utilizing new molding colors such as white, indigo, and clear blue to reproduce its characteristic snow-white tone. The body significantly increases the number of parts molded in "Skin Color B," presenting a swimsuit-like color scheme. The pre-painted face parts have been replaced with three newly drawn expressions by BLADE, and the rabbit-shaped AI parts on various parts of the body also feature new molds to reproduce the cute "(＞X＜)" expression.
By attaching the rabbit-element-designed head unit, outer armor, and weapons, the armed mode can be switched. Included decals can be used to reproduce leg markings and colors not achievable with the molded plastic. The carrot-like "Super Snow Rabbit Sword" can also reproduce its dual sword, wing, and spear modes from the setting by changing its assembly method. While the weapon expandability does not feature as many exposed 3mm standard holes as the 'BUSTER DOLL' series, this allows for more complete weapon designs and structures, showcasing the cute charm from BLADE's original artwork.
