Capcom's long-awaited original title, Pragmata, has finally resurfaced with a brand-new trailer during today's PlayStation State of Play showcase from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), confirming its anticipated release in 2026.

First unveiled way back in 2020, Pragmata has faced multiple delays and even seemed to vanish from the radar. Now, with this fresh development update, long-patient fans finally have a reason to get hyped again!
Pragmata is an action-adventure game set in a futuristic space environment, starring an astronaut named Hugh. During a mysterious incident, Hugh faces an unknown, life-threatening crisis but is saved by a young girl codenamed DI0367, whom he renames Diana. Despite her youthful appearance, Diana possesses unique powers that blend technology and hacking, enabling her to help Hugh combat attacks from various alien mechanical creatures.

Players will control both partners simultaneously, with Diana riding on Hugh's back as they work together to navigate through challenging levels. According to official details, the main antagonist is an AI system located on the moon, which is hell-bent on preventing Hugh's return to Earth and attempting to "neutralize" both protagonists.
When Pragmata first debuted, it sparked buzz with its dreamy visual style and mysterious vibe, though its actual gameplay remained largely under wraps. After delays in both 2022 and 2023, Capcom even released an apology trailer to reassure fans. This latest comeback not only confirms that development is still very much alive but also spills more details about the game's characters and mechanics.
With the new trailer out, Pragmata is officially back in the spotlight. The big question now is whether Capcom can deliver a new masterpiece in 2026 that perfectly blends sci-fi, emotion, and action. The anticipation is real!
