"Onimusha: Way of the Sword" Drops New Trailer at Summer Game Fest, Miyamoto Musashi Returns to Battle Evil

Capcom just dropped a brand-new trailer for "Onimusha: Way of the Sword" at Summer Game Fest today, showcasing even more intense hack-and-slash action and reigniting the hype for this legendary series!

This marks the first mainline entry in the series since 2006's "Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams," and it's set to slash its way onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Fans have been buzzing ever since its initial reveal at The Game Awards last year.

The game throws legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi into the fray once more, as he battles the demonic "Genma" forces hell-bent on conquering Kyoto. Capcom first teased Musashi's character design and the game's premise back in February, promising a fresh "Onimusha" experience that masterfully blends historical accuracy with fantastical elements.

"Onimusha: Way of the Sword" is slated for a 2026 release, and we're expecting more juicy details and gameplay reveals to drop at upcoming game showcases.
