Known affectionately as "Minecraft," this block-tastic game has earned massive praise for its unparalleled freedom and adaptive gameplay, making it a go-to for streamers and VTubers alike. While its iconic 2D-esque character models might seem simple, that's precisely part of its charm, captivating millions worldwide. Plus, the live-action movie adaptation this year totally crushed it at the global box office!
Recently, Japanese X (formerly Twitter) user "PON☆P" (@pkpkPONP) dropped some jaw-dropping screenshots of their latest Genshin Impact city recreation in Minecraft. The level of detail is absolutely insane, leaving netizens completely stunned by the epic results!
This viral masterpiece comes courtesy of PON☆P, who regularly shares incredible city builds from both Minecraft and "Dragon Quest Builders 2." This time, they tackled "Mondstadt," the iconic lakeside fortress city from Genshin Impact.
Mondstadt, the "City of Freedom," is ruled by the Anemo Archon and is famous for its windmills, thriving wine culture, and free-spirited residents. PON☆P didn't just capture these traits; they absolutely nailed the "city of wind" vibe through meticulous terrain sculpting and architectural details. Seriously, the whole thing looks so spot-on, you'd swear it was a direct screenshot from Genshin Impact itself!
PON☆P revealed, "I didn't keep exact track, but it definitely took over 100 hours to complete." Given the sheer scale, this was clearly a monumental undertaking – a true testament to love and perseverance!
Netizens were quick to flood the comments after seeing the exquisite recreation: "This is too wild, I thought it was a screenshot from Genshin Impact!" "It wasn't until the third image that I realized it was Minecraft – the completion level is insane!" "I can practically feel the wind blowing... they totally captured that atmosphere!" "Such a homecoming feeling... you know instantly it's Mondstadt!" "This wasn't built with time; it was built with love!"
And if you're curious about the magic behind the build, PON☆P also uploaded a "Mondstadt Build Process" behind-the-scenes video to their YouTube channel, "PON-Pチャンネル." Go check it out!
