But one Japanese cosplayer recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her "almost drove me insane" handmade Elden Ring Rya costume, and it immediately went viral. The sheer level of detail in this self-made masterpiece has netizens screaming "This is pure artistry!"
The cosplayer behind this viral sensation is Kasane (@kasaneww), and she tackled the daunting task of recreating the outfit of "Recusant Rya" from the game Elden Ring – a character familiar to many Tarnished.
In her post, she jokingly confessed, "Making this outfit almost broke me... but I'm so glad I pushed through!" So, let's dive in and see just how epic this entirely handmade, sanity-testing creation turned out!
The entire ensemble features a deep forest green base, with brown fabric accents at the neck and cuffs, all adorned with incredibly intricate embroidery. Golden threads coil around the neckline like a serpent, while the cuffs boast circular, emblem-like patterns. The chest piece showcases white-backed floral embroidery, embellished with red and blue beads of varying sizes. Below that, a delicate, split-front decoration extends downwards, resembling some sort of magical key.
The back design is another showstopper—angelic wing-like patterns cascade into multiple lines, exuding a divine and opulent aura. The skirt hem is also embroidered with the same motif found on the cuffs. With this level of detail, it's no wonder she said she "almost went crazy"!
