If you're into Gunpla model kits, you've probably dabbled in all sorts of techniques – painting, cutting, weathering, you name it! These are all awesome ways to make your models truly unique, and even better, you can blend in other themes and elements to unleash the boundless creative freedom that Gunpla offers.
Previously, we featured Japanese model maestro Popogorilla (@changumu55), who crafted Pokémon-themed Gunpla like the HG Dragapult and HG Buzzwole. Now, they're back with a new masterpiece! Once again, they've deconstructed, reassembled, repainted, and recombined several Gunpla kits to create the legendary Pokémon "Giratina Origin Forme." This insane creative vision, paired with the stunning finished product, has left countless netizens absolutely floored!

"Giratina Origin Forme" is a legendary Pokémon from the fourth generation's "Pokémon Diamond and Pearl." Giratina possesses the ability to freely traverse the Distortion World, allowing it to quickly sense and pursue its targets.
While Giratina was born alongside Dialga and Palkia, it doesn't command time or space. Instead, both Giratina and the Distortion World represent antimatter. In its Origin Forme, it's even more ferocious than its other forms, reigning supreme over the Distortion World.

Once again, Popogorilla utilized various Gunpla parts, constantly experimenting with assembly to get as close as possible to the distinctive silhouette of "Giratina Origin Forme."

Next up: painting! The entire model was first given a silver base coat, then Giratina's signature color blocks were meticulously added, one by one.

Once painted, all the intended colors pop, and with the inherent mechanical details of the Gunpla parts, this Giratina looks incredibly mechanized. The sheer coolness factor is off the charts!

From the side, the mechanical aesthetic created by the Gunpla components is even more striking, giving it a seriously intense vibe.

Looking head-on, while it doesn't quite capture Giratina's eyes, the face still gets its basic form through clever painting and component arrangement.

Popogorilla mentioned that this is their third time attempting a Pokémon-Gunpla fusion. From choosing the Pokémon to selecting the materials, it truly takes a considerable amount of time to figure out the best way to bring it to life. They plan to keep experimenting with more combinations in the future!
Feeling inspired to try a custom build like this yourself? Grab some Gunpla parts and give it a shot – you might just create something even cooler! ?
