ONKYO's sub-brand ANIMA has previously teamed up with critically acclaimed anime like Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM and BanG Dream! MyGO/Ave Mujica, along with the mobile game Blue Archive, all to great consumer reception.
Now, ANIMA is back with another hot collaboration, partnering with the super popular light novel series "Rascal Does Not Dream of" – which is getting a new anime season this July! They're dropping an exclusive over-ear headphone model, the "ANIMA AOW03." Priced at 25,000 JPY, these beauties are already up for pre-order on ONKYO's official website.
The headphones are based on ANIMA's highly-praised ANIMA AOW03 model, originally designed as Bluetooth over-ear headphones perfect for jamming to anime tunes. They support both wired and wireless connections.
Plus, they boast impressive battery life, offering up to 37 hours of continuous playback and charging conveniently via USB Type-C.
What's really cool is the brand-new voice guidance, recorded by the original voice actors for each character! You can pick one set from "Mai Sakurajima," "Tomoe Koga," "Rio Futaba," "Nodoka Toyohama," "Kaede Azusagawa," "Shoko Makinohara," or a special "All Characters ver." Whichever you choose will come pre-installed on your headphones, complete with matching packaging.
These include power on/off, Bluetooth pairing, touch prompts, and more – a total of 15 voice segments (or 18 for the "All Characters ver."). Even better, once the headphones ship, you can download additional character voices via the dedicated "ANIMA Studio" app (exclusive to collaboration headphone owners). This means one pair of headphones could potentially give you all seven voice options!
Beyond the headphones themselves, there's a whole lineup of exclusive merchandise dropping too: A4 clear files, acrylic stands, badges, aluminum headphone stands, and headphone pouches. Each item features special collaboration artwork of the characters, all sporting the headphones, of course!
