Marvel Studios' "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," set for release in 2026, has recently seen a flurry of major casting announcements.
Following the confirmed returns of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher from Netflix's "Daredevil" and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two" actor Tramell Tillman is now also confirmed to join the cast. This latest addition further fuels anticipation for the 2026 release. 
Beyond his role in "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two," Tramell Tillman recently gained widespread recognition for his chilling portrayal of Milchick in the acclaimed Apple TV+ series "Severance."
Tillman's role in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" marks his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While his character remains under wraps, speculation suggests he could portray a mysterious villain or a significant supporting character in future installments.
Furthermore, rumors are circulating that Florence Pugh, known for her role as the "second Black Widow," is also set to join the film. Pugh has been a fan favorite since her appearances in "Black Widow" and "Thunderbolts*," and her character, Yelena Belova, is expected to make her "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" debut, marking her first interaction with Spider-Man. 
In fact, as early as 2021, Tom Holland had expressed his desire for a Spider-Man and Black Widow crossover with Pugh. Two years later, Pugh publicly stated her "desperate hope" for Yelena to meet Peter Parker.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is scheduled for a global release on July 31, 2026.
