CD Projekt Red is once again a major topic in the gaming world. The company recently announced that physical sales of "Cyberpunk 2077" on Nintendo's next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2, account for over 70% of total sales. Furthermore, CDPR posted an intriguing message on social media, teasing new information to be revealed on September 4, 2025, sparking significant player interest. 
According to the company's latest financial report, "Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition" has seen physical copies account for 75.4% of sales since its launch in June, coinciding with the Switch 2 console release, while digital sales made up only 24.6%.
While official sales figures were not disclosed, data from Circana indicates that "Cyberpunk 2077" has become the best-selling third-party game on the Switch 2. Notably, it is also one of the few third-party titles that does not use a "game key card" format, instead packing the full 64GB capacity directly onto the cartridge, much to the delight of physical media enthusiasts.
Commenting on the success, CD Projekt Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski stated that the company was "thrilled to bring the game to Switch 2 on its global launch day and continue to rank high on the platform's bestseller charts."
Concurrently, the official social media channels recently published an "open letter" from NUSA President Rosalind Myers, emphasizing that the nation faces cybersecurity threats and calling upon "brave netrunners" to join the defense. 
Given that Myers and the popular character Songbird (Song So Mi) are both prominent figures from the "Phantom Liberty" DLC, players speculate that the new information could be related to further expansion content.
Various theories are circulating rapidly, including a mobile version of the game, a New Game+ mode, or even speculation that it's a cybersecurity recruitment advertisement for CD Projekt Red. A few voices also suggest it might involve a sequel, "Cyberpunk 2," but with the team's primary focus still on "The Witcher IV," the likelihood of a sequel announcement in the short term remains low.
