“Avengers: Doomsday,” currently in production, has been the subject of numerous plot rumors. The latest comes from renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman, known for his exclusive scoops. Richtman claims that Robert Downey Jr. is set to return as the formidable villain Doctor Doom, who harbors a deep hatred for the existence of the multiverse.
Richtman did not specify the exact reason for Doctor Doom's animosity. However, combining recent reports from other outlets, it's speculated that Doom's hatred stems from the original Captain America, Steve Rogers, and his team's actions. Their journey through different timelines to borrow the Infinity Stones to defeat Thanos, and Rogers' subsequent decision to remain in the past with Peggy Carter, allegedly altered history, indirectly leading to the deaths of Doom's family. This, in turn, fuels his burning desire for revenge.

Beyond Doctor Doom, Richtman also revealed that the X-Men's universe will somehow cause the destruction of other universes, including the main MCU, and this will be a significant plot point in the film.
