Hideo Kojima just dropped some massive news at Kojima Productions' 10th-anniversary event, officially pulling back the curtain on the latest developments for his PlayStation-exclusive title, "Physint." We're talking the first poster reveal and a sneak peek at the initial cast! This game is being hyped as a "next-gen tactical espionage action game," marking Kojima's epic return to his signature genre since parting ways with Konami back in 2015.
Kojima himself stressed at the event that "Physint" is still in its very early stages, with him personally handling character design and casting plans.

Word on the street is that "Physint" will push technical boundaries even further than "Death Stranding" and the studio's upcoming Xbox exclusive, "OD." Given its later release, it's expected to leverage even more advanced tech. However, Kojima kept mum on a specific release date, only stating that the current priority is wrapping up "OD" before diving headfirst into "Physint."
One of the biggest reveals was the first "Physint" poster. While the character's face is shrouded in mystery, the image definitely sets a cryptic tone, complete with the tagline "here comes the feeling." What that means, we'll have to wait and see! Kojima also mentioned that the lead role is still up for grabs, with a dedicated casting announcement event planned for the future.
As for the cast, three actors have been officially confirmed: Charlee Fraser from "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," Ma Dong-seok from "Eternals," and Minami Hamabe from "Godzilla Minus One."
To cap off the event, Kojima even showed off Minami Hamabe's stunning CG model, hinting that the game is gunning for ultra-realistic visuals. Still, the game engine choice remains under wraps.
Back in May, Kojima hinted that "Physint" still has at least "five to six years" of development ahead, meaning we might not see it until 2030 at the earliest – potentially even making it a flagship title for the PlayStation 6 era. He also emphasized that he's temporarily shelved his film-making plans to fully focus on this new tactical espionage masterpiece.
