When you hear PowerPoint, most people probably think "presentations" or "layouts" – it's an indispensable tool for work and school. But have you ever considered it as a drawing canvas?
Recently, a Japanese artist on X blew everyone's minds with an incredibly detailed train illustration made entirely in PowerPoint. The post went viral, racking up nearly 69,000 likes, leaving netizens absolutely stunned.
The viral masterpiece was created by X user やぶそば (@soba_02_) using PowerPoint's "shape tools," depicting a train from the Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit Rinkai Line.
Not only did they nail the train body's curves and shadows with incredible realism using curves and gradients, but they also perfectly replicated the fonts and metallic textures. What's even crazier? The interior details visible through the windows are also spot-on! This looks less like PowerPoint and more like something from professional design software. Seriously, mind-blowing.
This divine creation actually came about after another user posted, lamenting, "These days, if you make a presentation in PowerPoint, people complain it has 'that PowerPoint vibe'?" suggesting the software might be considered passé.
So, the master やぶそば stepped up, using this reality-bending artwork to declare: "PowerPoint is far from outdated; you just haven't grasped its true power yet!"
They even included a second image, revealing that this train illustration is composed of countless "shapes" pieced together. The screen is dotted with a dizzying array of white points, all anchor points for curves or shapes – it looks like something that could drive you mad! This level of patience is truly beyond most.
The comment section absolutely exploded: "Uh, whoa... what kind of monster-level skill is this?!" "So good I can't even process it!" "No, no, no! You're a total maniac!! (That's a compliment!)" "Who knew train otaku skills could reach this level?" "This is next-level technique!"
Turns out, やぶそば is indeed a huge train enthusiast, and they can draw all sorts of trains in PowerPoint. Their skill is truly god-tier!
Guess it just goes to show: master PowerPoint, and you're unstoppable!
