From December 5-7, 2025, the annual Tokyo Comic Con took over Makuhari Messe in Chiba, drawing celebrities from around the globe, showcasing various brands and anime titles, and bringing together a massive gathering of cosplayers.
This time, we're shining a spotlight on cosplayer Hikaru (@hikarundam), who absolutely blew minds with their self-made God Gundam suit from "Mobile Fighter G Gundam"! This incredible creation even features a hidden mechanism that deploys the six radiator fins on its back, plus the iconic "Burning Finger" effect on its hands, making it an undeniable showstopper.
Hikaru crafted this suit from scratch, piece by painstaking piece. Using cardboard, paint, and even integrating electronics to bring the suit's mechanisms and special effects to life, it's clear this was a labor of love.
Even when not worn, the display alone is seriously impressive, right!
Once donned, the suit's built-in electronics truly shine, with the God Gundam's eyes glowing an intense green, amplifying its already formidable presence.
The video footage reveals that beyond the glowing eyes, the "Burning Finger" palm effect is fully realized. What's more, the suit can even deploy its six back radiators and open its chest armor to activate Super Mode – talk about epic!
Striking a battle-ready pose, poised to unleash the "Burning Finger"!
And get this: Hikaru isn't just a master costume builder; they're also an amazing character cosplayer! If you're curious, head over to their X account – there are even more awesome creations waiting for you there!
▼ They've got a ton of different characters too, LOL.
