Vadu was at Tokyo Comic Con last weekend, where he unveiled his latest masterpiece: the "EVA Final Unit" from the official spin-off novel "Evangelion ANIMA." His exquisite craftsmanship and the phenomenal finished product once again stole the show, leaving netizens absolutely stunned.
The "EVA Final Unit" is a mecha that appears in "Evangelion ANIMA," an official spin-off novel created by Takuma Kageyama and Ikuto Yamashita. The story is set three years after a world where the Human Instrumentality Project was never activated.
The "EVA Final Unit" is an evolved form of Unit-01, with "Final" in its name embodying Misato's wish that "this world will no longer need new EVAs." Its most distinctive features include deployable "Wings of Light" for high-speed flight on its back and the "Bizen Osafune," a large katana-type weapon it wields.
According to Vadu, the suit is currently only about 60% complete and not yet fully painted. However, the overall design is largely finished, though internal mechanisms and part separation methods are still being adjusted. He decided to debut it early for Tokyo Comic Con.
Even in its all-black appearance, the "EVA Final Unit" exudes an intimidating presence. The intricate details of the body parts and the wearable mobility truly showcase Vadu's mastery.
