The beloved "Sgt. Frog" (Keroro Gunsō) is back! After teasing a new movie for its 20th anime anniversary, the official title for the first film in 16 years was finally revealed today, December 9, 2025 – which just happens to be Sergeant Keroro's birthday! Get ready for "New Movie Version ☆ Sgt. Frog: Earth's Immediate Doomsday Crisis After Revival!" alongside a fresh teaser visual and logo, sending fans into a frenzy.

The newly unveiled visual shows the Keroro Platoon decked out in formal attire, strutting down a cosmic red carpet – a fitting symbol for their grand cinematic comeback. The five alien invaders descend from their UFOs onto Earth, with Keroro, true to form, still chilling at the Hinata household, casually tackling chores.

But when Shibuya suddenly comes under attack by unknown invaders, the platoon is forced back into action, surprisingly tasked with "protecting Earth." A mysterious message at the end of the teaser trailer only adds to the plot's intrigue, leaving fans guessing.
The movie is slated for a Summer 2026 release. Yuichi Fukuda, renowned for his work on "Yūsha Yoshihiko" and the live-action "Gintama" films, is taking the helm as scriptwriter and chief director. Fumiaki Tachizaki is directing, Tomoshige Koike is handling character design, and BN Pictures is on animation duty. With a familiar production team and Fukuda's signature humor, expect a fresh and wildly different take on the "Sgt. Frog" universe.
