Former "Yakuza" Series Director Toshihiro Nagoshi Unveils New Game "GANG OF DRAGON" Starring Ma Dong-seok!

Nagoshi Studio, founded in 2022 by former SEGA Yakuza Studio director Toshihiro Nagoshi, just dropped a bombshell at "The Game Awards 2025," revealing their brand-new title, "GANG OF DRAGON"! The announcement came with a killer trailer, confirming that South Korean superstar Ma Dong-seok will be starring as the game's protagonist.

Back in 2021, Toshihiro Nagoshi announced his departure from SEGA and Yakuza Studio, alongside Yakuza series producer Daisuke Sato. He handed the reins of the studio over to Masayoshi Yokoyama, one of its founding members. The following year, Nagoshi unveiled "Nagoshi Studio" (株式会社名越スタジオ), taking the helm as president. The studio, fully funded by NetEase, sparked quite a buzz among gamers.

"GANG OF DRAGON" is an action-adventure game set in Tokyo's infamous Shinjuku Kabukicho district. Ma Dong-seok, the international Korean film star, plays Shin Ji-sung, a high-ranking member of a Korean gang operating out of Kabukicho. Players will explore the bustling streets of Shinjuku, navigating intense gang rivalries, interacting with a colorful cast of characters, and slowly uncovering Shin Ji-sung's unavoidable destiny.

Combat is a third-person affair, emphasizing Shin Ji-sung's ridiculously overpowered physique. Expect bone-crunching, fist-to-face brawls to dominate enemies, but you'll also get to wield an arsenal of weapons, from knives and firearms to even vehicles, to lay waste to your foes.

This marks Nagoshi Studio's debut title, and its overall vibe definitely echoes the "Yakuza" series. While there's not much info yet, the game already has a Steam page. Snagging an international superstar like Ma Dong-seok has certainly turned heads, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for more exciting updates!
