Japan's premier music extravaganza, the "Kohaku Uta Gassen," has just dropped its lineup for the 76th annual show! As always, this year's highly anticipated event is already sparking buzz, from its star-studded artist roster to the hosts and even the judging panel.
But hold up – today (12/27), the official announcement hit: music titans Masaharu Fukuyama and Koshi Inaba are confirmed for a special segment! This unexpected collaboration between two absolute legends of the music scene has sent shockwaves through the fandom, instantly becoming the talk of the town.

Masaharu Fukuyama and Koshi Inaba have both been at the forefront of the Japanese music industry for decades, sharing mutual respect and a strong friendship. Now, fans' long-held dream of seeing them share the stage is finally coming true!
They'll be performing their much-hyped first-ever collaboration, "Jupiter feat. Koshi Inaba" (with Fukuyama representing the White Team). Inaba penned the lyrics, while Fukuyama composed the music for this track, which also serves as the theme song for the movie "Last Man -FIRST LOVE-." This collaboration, born from a truly miraculous "destiny," promises to be an incredibly rare and precious performance, exclusive to the Kohaku stage.
Both artists expressed immense honor at the chance to perform together on the Kohaku stage. For Koshi Inaba, it's an especially rare opportunity, marking his return after his impactful special guest appearance with B'z last year – a delightful surprise for countless fans!
The "76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" airs live on December 31st at 6:20 PM (Taiwan time). Viewers in Taiwan can catch the live broadcast via NHK Asia. Don't miss out!
