Remember that "Frankenstein's monster" action-adventure survival game, Palworld, that took 2024 by storm? Developed by Japanese studio Pocket Pair, it's still going strong with a dedicated player base, even after navigating a patent dispute with Nintendo.
Now, the card game development powerhouse, Bushiroad, officially announced on January 12 that they're dropping an official Palworld TCG: the "PALWORLD OFFICIAL CARD GAME"! Get ready to collect 'em all, because it's slated for release on July 30, with game rules and tournament info rolling out soon.

The official Palworld card game made its grand debut at the "Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation" on January 12.
During the reveal, they also teased some of the card types we can expect to see in the game. Here's the rundown of the five types:
Pal Cards
Building Cards
Gear Cards
Event Cards
Soul Cards
As for the nitty-gritty of gameplay and detailed rules, the official word is: stay tuned!

The first booster pack and two starter decks will hit shelves simultaneously on July 30, 2026, available in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese versions.

Bushiroad also spilled the beans on upcoming events! Starting in Spring 2026, they'll be hosting card game workshops across Japan. Plus, before the official launch, there will be exclusive pre-sales and tutorial events:
June 27: Tokyo
June 28: Osaka
Bushiroad President Takaaki Kidani, who appeared at the event, also revealed ambitious plans for a World Championship in Fall 2026. Talk about leveling up!
Of course, IPs getting their own card games isn't exactly groundbreaking news these days. But whether this one sparks a new craze will ultimately depend on Bushiroad's marketing muscle and how they roll it out!
