Back in June, it was announced that the sequel to "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" would be titled "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Circe's Witch" (閃光のハサウェイ キルケーの魔女) and would hit theaters on January 30, 2026. Fans have been eagerly waiting, and now the countdown is on!
Today (1/14), the official channels dropped a brand-new video, and the reveal of the mobile suit "ν Gundam" at the very end immediately sent the internet into a frenzy.

This TV spot, featuring the insert song "ENDROLL" (performed by Yoohei Kawakami [Alexandros] × SennaRin), not only gave us a quick peek at some intense battle scenes but also dropped a super memorable mobile suit at the end: the "ν Gundam," a machine we'd expect to see in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack."

Sharp-eyed netizens quickly noticed that this "ν Gundam" shot is a direct callback to a scene from the original "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" trailer, complete with its iconic Vulcan cannon firing. Of course, the visuals have gotten a serious upgrade!

This single frame sent fans into an absolute meltdown online, with comments flooding in like: "Hold up, what was that last shot?!" "Isn't that the ν Gundam's head Vulcan cannon going wild from the 'Char's Counterattack' trailer!?" "ν Gundam!?" "What does that fleeting glimpse of the ν Gundam at the end even mean... a flashback for Hathaway?"

Of course, the original novel series for "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" directly follows the novel "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack – Beltorchika's Children."
If the anime production team plans to connect it back to the original "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" movie, some narrative bridging will be necessary. The official production team has previously revealed that the anime version would indeed alter the novel's story to link the two narratives.

We know everyone's been waiting for this one for ages! With its Japan premiere on January 30, keep your eyes peeled for more official updates!
