The investment manga FX Fighter Kurumi-chan, originally written by Demunyan and illustrated by Tansan Daisuki, has captivated fans with its unique premise.
Today (Jan 19), it was officially announced that the series is getting a TV anime adaptation, slated for a 2026 broadcast! To celebrate, they dropped two new visuals—a regular version and a "Forced Liquidation" edition—alongside a brand-new PV.
FX Fighter Kurumi-chan actually started as a webcomic by the original author on their personal site before manga artist Tansan Daisuki took over the art, launching it in Monthly Comic Flapper's March 2021 issue.
The "FX" in the title stands for Foreign Exchange, specifically margin trading. It follows a seemingly cute and innocent college student who dives headfirst into the (!!) somewhat perilous world of FX. This dark comedy financial saga has been hailed by many fans as a cautionary tale, perfectly capturing the relatable agony of being stuck in a losing trade, where investments can swing wildly between profit and loss.
Right out of the gate, the official team unveiled both the standard and the "Forced Liquidation" visuals, showcasing Kurumi's adorable everyday look alongside her… terrifying "margin call" face. The anime is being produced by Passione, known for titles like "Uncle from Another World" and "Spice and Wolf: MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF".
Original author Demunyan commented:

The official announcement also revealed that voice actress Aina Suzuki will be voicing protagonist Kurumi. Suzuki’s previous roles include Jashin-chan in "Jashin-chan Dropkick" and Mari Ohara in "Love Live! Sunshine!!".
Suzuki shared that it was only after reading the original manga that she truly understood what FX was—and realized just how terrifying it is! She noted, "The art style is super cute, but the content is, in some ways, super violent! Sitting alone at a desk, surrounded by silence, hands shaking from tension, with only your heartbeat audible… a mere 0.1 yen price movement can mean the difference between laughter and tears, heaven and hell. The way you operate can even dictate a person’s entire life. This isn’t just 'breaking a sweat' territory; it’s the all-too-real world of FX. I’ll give it my all to convey this intense, undeniable realism to everyone, so please look forward to it!”
