Japanese Man Arrested with Three Knives, One in His Mouth, Claims He Was "Just Getting Vegetables" – Netizens Compare Him to Zoro

Yesterday (January 26), a local news story out of Japan had many netizens chuckling and scratching their heads. In Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, a passerby reported, "There's a man walking down the street with two knives in his hands." Police arrived to find the situation exactly as reported: a suspicious man carrying bladed weapons.

But it got even wilder: he was also clenching a third knife in his mouth, just like Roronoa Zoro from "ONE PIECE." The news instantly went viral.

According to reports, police arrested the 47-year-old unemployed man, who lives nearby, on suspicion of violating the Swords and Firearms Control Law.

As for why he was walking around with three knives – two in his hands and one in his mouth – the man claimed, "I was just on my way to a friend's house to pick up some vegetables." He denies the charges.

Once the news broke, many netizens immediately thought of Roronoa Zoro from "ONE PIECE," joking that this "unemployed Zoro," with his three knives, must have gotten lost on his way to his friend's house – after all, Zoro is famously terrible with directions, LOL.

Other netizens speculated that carrying three knives, one in your mouth, just to pick up vegetables from a friend's house, either points to an extreme case of chuunibyou or perhaps some mental instability... XD.
