Last May, acclaimed Japanese director Takashi Miike ventured into Hollywood, simultaneously greenlighting two English-language films. One project is a remake of his own classic, "Audition," while the other is "Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo," slated as the third installment in the "Bad Lieutenant" series. However, before either of these films has premiered, news of a third English-language project has just emerged, with its cast and production start date already locked in.

Deadline exclusively reported that Miike's third English-language film will be a horror project, scheduled to begin production next month in Japan. The starring cast includes Milly Alcock (recently cast as DC's new Supergirl), Kiko Mizuhara, Norman Reedus, Sho Kasamatsu, and singer Charli XCX. The film's story will follow three longtime friends who reunite in Kyoto, rekindling their enduring bond. What begins as a relaxing and enjoyable trip, however, devolves into a nightmare when Charli XCX's character, Katie, becomes possessed by a violent and tormented evil spirit, portrayed by Kiko Mizuhara.
