Japanese audio brand ONKYO, known for its killer collaborations with major anime IPs like Mobile Suit Gundam and Solo Leveling, is back with another must-have for fans.
This time, they're teaming up with NEXON Games' hit mobile title, Blue Archive, to release a special edition pair of wireless earbuds themed after the one and only Wakamo. The set is priced at 22,000 JPY and is currently available for pre-order on the official ONKYO website.
For the uninitiated, Kozaka Wakamo is one of the infamous "Seven Prisoners" from Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy and the first student from the school that Sensei encounters. Utterly devoted to Sensei, whom she calls her "Darling," she has a notoriously violent streak, often causing headaches for the player by ruthlessly eliminating anything that displeases her.
The design is packed with character-specific details. The charging case features Wakamo's iconic mask and the game's English logo, set against a backdrop of the floral pattern from her kimono. The earbuds themselves sport Wakamo's red halo on one side and a floral motif from her kimono on the other.
Based on the "CP-TWS01E" model, these earbuds aren't just for show. They come loaded with practical features like Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), a low-latency mode, and everyday water resistance. The entire set comes in a custom illustrated box.
But the star of the show is the collection of all-new voice prompts recorded by Wakamo's voice actress, Chiwa Saito. With 13 unique lines for actions like powering on/off, pairing, and touch controls, it's like having Wakamo right there with you while you listen.
The earbuds also support wireless charging. For a complete setup, a matching collaboration-themed wireless charging pad is available separately for 4,400 JPY.
