McDonald's "Happy Meal" isn't just about the food; those special toys and giveaways are pure childhood magic! Japan McDonald's consistently partners with popular IPs to drop fun new meals and awesome freebies.
Today (February 20), the official announcement dropped: they're teaming up with two mega-hit anime series, My Hero Academia and SPY×FAMILY! Grab a Happy Meal, and you'll score exclusive UNO cards, featuring three different game types. The promotion kicks off in phases starting February 27!
This Happy Meal collab brings together characters from both beloved anime on a total of six collectible UNO card sets, released in two waves over consecutive weeks.
Each set includes one of three different UNO variants:
Classic UNO
The lightning-fast "UNO All Wild," where every card is a Wild card!
The double-sided "UNO Flip"
Plus, every box comes with a shiny, special full-art card – a sweet little bonus!
Wave 1 (February 27 – March 5)
UNO: Loid
UNO Flip: Anya
UNO All Wild: Shoto Todoroki
Wave 2 (March 6 – March 12)
UNO: Izuku Midoriya
UNO Flip: Katsuki Bakugo
UNO All Wild: Yor
Starting March 13, the third phase begins, where you'll have a chance to get any one of the six designs (randomly selected) for the remainder of the promotion.
And that's not all! During the same period, Japan McDonald's Happy Meals also feature "Mini McDonald's" model sets, which are totally worth collecting. Fans of UNO or these two awesome anime series will definitely want to rush out for this one. Will they sell out in a flash? We'll have to see how fast customers react!
