Today, we're spotlighting Japanese Gunpla builder Tacker-01 (@01Tacker), who took inspiration from the recent theatrical release of 'Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Circe's Witch' and its stunning key visual. He transformed an 'HG Ξ Gundam' with a paint job that perfectly captures the same color scheme, earning massive praise from netizens.
Tacker-01, a dedicated Gundam modeler, leveraged the expansive front surface of the retail 'HG Ξ Gundam' to directly paint a breathtaking landscape onto the model, mirroring the iconic IMAX visual for 'Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Circe's Witch'.

He shared his goal: "I hope everyone can see the sunset dipping below the horizon." The finished piece features two distinct shades of blue for the sea and sky, dramatically contrasted by the orange-red glow of the sunset, creating an incredibly powerful visual impact that's truly mesmerizing.
Before diving into the actual model, he even practiced painting a similar landscape on a canvas, just to make sure he had the technique down!
Tacker-01 noted that the Ξ Gundam's armor offers a much larger surface area compared to typical Gundams, making it ideal for intricate paintwork. He meticulously applied the orange-red sunset and blue landscape from the key visual, achieving an effect that's just as striking as the original artwork.
