Japanese audio brand ONKYO, a veteran in anime IP collaborations, has previously dropped popular gear with franchises like Mobile Suit Gundam and Solo Leveling, both to critical acclaim.
Now, they're back with a fresh collab, announcing a new pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds featuring "Yukina Sakuna" (結城さくな), the indie VTuber who debuted in late October 2024 and instantly captivated fans, racking up a million channel subscribers in record time. Priced at 20,000 JPY, these exclusive earbuds are now available for pre-order on ONKYO's official website.
Indie VTuber "Yukina Sakuna" is characterized as a cat maid who loves to sing and play games. Though a bit shy, she's fiercely dedicated to achieving her dream of becoming a top-tier cat maid. Her name itself is a nod to her love for "Sword Art Online," paying homage to the heroine Asuna Yuuki.
Her debut stream on October 27, 2024, was an absolute sensation, hitting a peak of 383,000 concurrent viewers. She then blasted past the one-million subscriber mark in less than two months, solidifying her status as a powerhouse newcomer in the VTuber scene.
The design elements are purr-fectly integrated: the charging case lid features Yukina Sakuna's maid headdress motif and English text, framed by an icon symbolizing her love for gaming. The earbuds themselves sport designs of her adorable cat companions on the left and right.
The earbuds are based on the "CP-TWS01E" model, boasting Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a low-latency mode, and splash-proof functionality, making them incredibly practical for daily use. Plus, they come in exclusive packaging adorned with brand-new collaboration artwork.
The biggest highlight? They come loaded with 13 newly recorded voice prompts from Yukina Sakuna herself! From power on/off to successful pairing and touch controls, she'll be right there with you, making your music listening experience even more enjoyable!
Beyond the earbuds, the collaboration also includes exclusive merchandise like a custom-designed wireless charging pad, an earbud carrying pouch, and a cleaning cloth.
