This year's installment is packed with all the latest 2026 data, including rookies, new foreign players, and returning overseas stars. Plus, it’ll reflect all the recent action like FA transfers, trades, and active player drafts, with continuous free updates to keep things fresh.
Visually, the game is powered by Unreal Engine and KONAMI’s proprietary "eBaseball Engine," bringing everything from batting trajectories and player movements to the crowd's roaring reactions closer to a real-life broadcast experience.
One of the biggest highlights? The game directly features the globally anticipated "2026 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™" mode! Players can dive headfirst into the tournament, battling through the group stages, fighting through the knockout rounds, and gunning for that world championship title. And get this: superstars like Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Ronald Acuña Jr., Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Randy Arozarena, and Jung Hoo Lee will all appear with their real names, making every national team roster absolutely stacked.
What's more, the final venue, "LoanDepot Park™," is fully recreated in-game for the very first time. Combined with the next-gen "eBaseball™ Engine," it perfectly captures that nail-biting, electrifying atmosphere of international competition. And if that wasn't enough, past WBC-winning Japan national teams are also specially included, letting you relive those legendary championship moments.
When it comes to gameplay, the WBC mode offers a ton of ways to play: you can assemble your own national team, use historical Samurai Japan rosters, or even create an original squad to compete. There's also the "SCENARIO 2026" story mode, which features all 47 games from the qualifiers to the finals – essentially letting you replay an entire WBC tournament.
The classic modes have also received a major upgrade: "Season Mode" now includes an active player draft system, adding a strategic layer to team rebuilding. And in "Miracle of the White Ball" (白球のキセキ) mode, where you aim for a Koshien championship, the DH system has been introduced, even supporting a "starting pitcher as DH" option for more flexible gameplay.
Additionally, the PRO SPIRIT mode lets you enjoy real-time online matches against players worldwide. Each match has specific rules, requiring you to build your team within a set cost limit.
