Beyond its popular Happy Meals, Japan's McDonald's is known for its quirky and creative online campaigns, often tapping voice actors for bizarre commercials that consistently grab social media attention.
Recently, McDonald's teased an upcoming collaboration with "Baki," but what really caught everyone off guard was the inclusion of veteran voice actress Masako Nozawa. She's set to appear as "Masako Nozawa (CV: Masako Nozawa)," reimagined as a beautiful girl playing the "strongest heroine of Tatsuta Chicken Burger Academy," alongside "Baki" characters. The announcement instantly blew up online!

Yesterday at 4 PM, McDonald's official X account dropped a mysterious image. The silhouette clearly hinted at a collaboration with the "Baki" anime. Later, another image appeared, adding a new character in the middle and teasing an even stronger shadow, leaving everyone guessing who it could be.

Today, the official reveal came at 5 PM, with text proclaiming, "Falling for Baki, it's officially on! Stay tuned for more!!" and "Tatsuta Nozawa in love in the Baki world." With that iconic red hair, there's no mistaking it: this Nozawa is none other than legendary voice actress Masako Nozawa.
Funnily enough, Masako Nozawa once joked in an interview, "I've never played a pretty girl before, why don't you cast me?" But she quickly added, "If they actually came calling, I'd probably refuse because the image difference would be too much (laughs)." Who knew her dream would actually come true, transforming her into a beautiful girl for this campaign? The contrast is absolutely epic!
This time, the official setup casts her as the "strongest heroine": intelligent, athletic, kind-hearted, and with the strongest voice. She's the strongest heroine of Tatsuta Chicken Burger Academy, and her favorite flavor is Yurinchi-style. It's still unclear how "Beautiful Girl Masako Nozawa" will appear, but since "CV" is listed, it's highly likely we'll see some commercial videos or similar content.

Naturally, with a "Baki" collaboration featuring Masako Nozawa and a romance-themed promotion, everyone's dying to see what kind of wild antics McDonald's will pull off this time.
Currently, McDonald's is promoting three main burgers: the classic "Tatsuta Chicken Burger," the new "Tartar Yurinchi-style Tatsuta Chicken Burger," and the "Cheese Tatsuta Chicken Burger." This visual campaign is clearly for these products, so it looks like Japan McDonald's is about to unleash its creative madness once again!
