Godzilla FES 2026 Kicks Off Crowdfunding for a Brand-New, Glowing "Burning Millennium Godzilla" Suit!

"Godzilla FES," the annual bash held every November 3rd to mark Godzilla's big screen debut, just got even bigger! Today (April 27), officials dropped the news that "Godzilla FES 2026" is not only happening as usual, but it's also coinciding with the release of the new movie "Godzilla Minus One." Talk about a double whammy! To top it all off, they've launched a crowdfunding campaign to create a brand-new, glowing "Burning Millennium Godzilla" suit.

And that's not all! The Godzilla FES staple—a tokusatsu short film series directed by Kazuhiro Nakagawa—is back with its latest installment, "Fes Godzilla II: Tokyo Vanishing."

This new short picks up right where its predecessor, "Fes Godzilla II: Shinjuku Inferno," left off, bringing back the "Burning Millennium Godzilla" for some serious action! Director Kazuhiro Nakagawa noted that the last film ended with Burning Godzilla's appearance, leaving many in the audience thinking, "Wait, that's it?!" So, this time, the goal is to let this Godzilla truly "go wild" and wreak some glorious havoc. He's calling on fans to support this epic challenge!

The biggest highlight this time around? They're taking the "Burning State," previously only seen in CG, and turning it into a "glowing, physical suit!" That means we'll get a truly luminous Godzilla brought to life through tokusatsu, delivering an incredible sense of realism and a massive technical upgrade.

To make this new "Burning Millennium Godzilla" suit a reality, officials have launched a crowdfunding project, with a preview page now live on Japan's major platform, CAMPFIRE. This marks the first time in Godzilla FES history that a "main character Godzilla suit" will be brought to life through fan crowdfunding. Your support directly impacts the production, making this a truly immersive experience for fans!

"Godzilla FES" is celebrating its 12th year, packed annually with stage events, monster meet-and-greets, merchandise sales, collaborative booths, and more. Best of all? It's completely FREE to enter! If you're a fan, you absolutely need to plan a pilgrimage to this year's ultimate Godzilla event. While full details are still under wraps, it's definitely a must-attend for any kaiju enthusiast.
