As the Pokémon series celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, the IP's powerful and enduring influence is undeniable across all sectors, with a constant stream of collaborations and events dropping.
The latest buzz? A team-up with Suntory's coffee brand, "BOSS," to launch a special "Pokédex Can" series of canned coffee beverages. But that's not all – they're also giving away some seriously cool "original Kanto starter" themed jackets! These limited-edition items are set to hit shelves across Japan starting June 2026.

Kicking off June 2nd, five of BOSS's core products – "BOSS Rainbow Mountain Blend," "BOSS Luxurious Mildly Sweet," "BOSS Unsweetened Black," "BOSS Café au Lait," and "BOSS Premium Blend" – will all get a fresh "Pokédex Can" makeover for this epic collaboration.
The cans will feature Pokémon from Kanto all the way to Unova, including the iconic starters, Pikachu, and Eevee, complete with their Pokédex entries. So, you can sip your coffee and brush up on your Pokémon knowledge at the same time – it's a bit wild, but totally fun!

The biggest highlight? Snagging a designated 6-pack gives you a shot at winning one of the "New Discovery! Pokédex-Inspired BOSS Jackets." There are three designs, based on Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, with only five of each being given away – making them super rare. And the designs? Absolutely brilliant:
Bulbasaur Edition: Features a "seed-shaped backpack" directly on the back that actually holds stuff (maybe even plants?!).
Charmander Edition: Comes with a built-in LED light at the waist, mimicking its tail flame, so it glows in the dark.
Squirtle Edition: Includes a water gun and a storage backpack, all integrated into a raincoat-style jacket perfect for water play.

Plus, scan the QR code on the product for a chance to win one of five "Whose Footprint Is This? T-shirts" or point rewards.

And that's not all! Starting May 19th, the "Warudake Craft Boss Café" 2-bottle set will also offer special packaging that includes a "Pokémon 30th Anniversary Charm." There are four charm designs, featuring Pikachu & Eevee, along with various elemental themes.

These items will gradually roll out across Japanese retailers starting next month. Pokémon, a companion for 30 years, teaming up with BOSS coffee, a long-time office worker's best friend – this collaboration is all about "comfort and bursting with fun." Fans outside Japan might find these at select import stores or specialty supermarkets, so keep an eye out!
