Netflix dropped the original animated film 'Cosmic Princess Kaguya!' this January, and it quickly became a massive hit, sparking tons of buzz. After its theatrical release in Japan, it raked in over 2 billion yen at the box office, proving its serious fan-pulling power.
Today, we're shining a spotlight on Japanese male cosplayer Onesaya ( @yunomi_ochawan ), who's made a name for himself by nailing female characters. This time, he's tackled the much-talked-about 'otokonoko' (male-presenting-as-female) character, Komazawa Noi, from 'Cosmic Princess Kaguya!'. With his masterful costume and makeup, he's pulled off such a spot-on recreation that fans are raving about him bringing the 2D character right into our reality.
In 'Cosmic Princess Kaguya!', Komazawa Noi is a member of the esports team 'Black onyX' within the virtual space 'Tsukuyomi'. While male in real life, his in-game avatar is a cross-dressing character. What really got people talking was that he's voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who uses a male vocal range for the role, making the character an instant sensation upon the anime's release.

In fact, Onesaya first gained attention for his cosplay of Bridget from 'Guilty Gear'. After watching 'Cosmic Princess Kaguya!', he saw Komazawa Noi and knew he had to cosplay the character. He quickly crafted the costume and, with his expert makeup and styling skills, brought the character to life. He even showcased his stunning work at Niconico Chokaigi 2026, looking like he'd stepped right out of the anime.

Naturally, he also filmed a classic cosplay event POV: 'Oh... wait, they're a guy!' – a realization that hits when you're heading to the restroom. But hey, Komazawa Noi is a guy to begin with, so no issues there, right? XD
If you're digging Onesaya's cosplay, make sure to hit up his X (formerly Twitter) account for more amazing work! He also frequently streams games on Twitch!
