Japanese Chiropractor Closes Clinic After Being Emotionally Wrecked by "Fate/Zero"

Last week, a chiropractic clinic near Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station, Seitai Care-la, went viral for a notice that read: "The manager will be out all day to finish watching the entire Fate/stay night series." The internet was amazed by the sheer freedom of this establishment.

Well, it seems the manager, who was pushed into the Fate series by clients, has struck again. Today (April 30), the clinic posted a new notice announcing another day off—this time because the manager was so emotionally traumatized by Fate/Zero that they needed to watch something more wholesome to recover. The hilarious excuse has once again sent netizens into a frenzy.

For a little backstory, Seitai Care-la proudly bills itself as "Japan's most otaku-friendly chiropractic clinic, where you can chat all you want about anime." Its X (formerly Twitter) bio even states: "We prioritize our fandom activities, so we may close early or take unexpected days off."

The manager's journey began in February after starting the mobile game Fate/Grand Order. After being relentlessly pushed by everyone—staff, clients, and followers—to dive into the anime, they finally decided to take a day off to binge-watch the series, which quickly became a hot topic.

And once they started, they couldn't stop. The manager has been taking frequent days off, blazing through Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] and then Fate/Zero. It's clear they've fallen deep into the rabbit hole.

But Fate/Zero hit differently. The manager was so emotionally wrecked that, in order to heal, they decided to binge-watch both Today's Menu for the Emiya Family and Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files, posting yet another closure notice. It looks like they're officially all in on this fandom now, huh?

Of course, anyone familiar with the original light novel author for Fate/Zero, the one and only Gen Urobuchi (infamously nicknamed the "Warrior of Pure Love"), knows the story is notoriously brutal. It's completely understandable that an unprepared viewer would end up as traumatized as our clinic manager.

While many netizens expressed sympathy, saying they understood the pain of watching Fate/Zero, some couldn't resist a little trolling. They cheekily recommended watching Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] as a "healing" experience. Those fans are just plain evil, LOL.

While you don't really need a reason to take a day off, seeing an excuse this good makes you do a double-take.
It's safe to say this clinic manager truly loves anime. After getting hooked by customers and staff, they've completely plunged into the depths of the fandom.
